RESEARCH YOUR HOUSE

Looking for historical information about your home in Laguna Beach? Here are some links and information we have assembled that may help.

1.  CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH PUBLIC GIS MAP VIEWER. This website has public records including planning and building files for almost every home in Laguna Beach.

Go to I want to... > Search by Address.  Start to enter the building address and click on the desired address that appears in the drop down menu. If the address does not appear, check the spelling and type slowly. There are a small number of homes that may not appear in this GIS system. Contact the City of Laguna Beach-Public Records Search for more information.

2. CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH—HISTORIC RESOURCES INVENTORY. These documents contain information about pre-1940 homes that were designated as historic in 1980. Start by looking at the INDEX to find our the correct neighborhood document for your address.

3. CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH—Historic Preservation. This page has information about applications for the Laguna Beach Historic Register and the State of California Mills Act.

4. LAGUNA BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY. Our local library on Glenneyre St. has a Local History Collection that may have more information.

Best of luck in your search!
