RESEARCH YOUR HOUSE
Looking for historical information about a home in Laguna Beach? Here are some helpful links and resources we have assembled.
1. CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH PUBLIC GIS MAP VIEWER
This website provides public records, including planning and building files, for almost every home in Laguna Beach.
Go to I want to… > Search by Address.
Start typing the address and select it from the drop-down menu.
If the address doesn’t appear, check your spelling and type slowly.
Note: A small number of homes may not appear in this system. Contact the City of Laguna Beach Public Records Search for assistance.
2. CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH—HISTORIC RESOURCES INVENTORY
These documents contain information about pre-1940 homes that were designated as historic in 1980. Start by looking at the INDEX to find the correct neighborhood document for your address.
3. CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH—Historic Preservation
This page has information about completing applications for the Laguna Beach Historic Register and the State of California Mills Act.
4. LAGUNA BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY
Our local library on Glenneyre St. has a Local History Collection that may have more information.
Some of the older properties’ historical documents may be found at the county level.
Best of luck in your search!
